¹¹ Has ^(A)this house, which is called by My name, become a ^(B)den of thieves in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” says the Lord.

Jesus Cleanses the Temple^(A)

^45 (B)Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who ^[a]bought and sold in it, ⁴⁶ saying to them, “It is written, ^(C)‘My house ^[b]is a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ^(D)‘den of thieves.’ ”

¹⁷ Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ^(A)‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ^(B)‘den of thieves.’ ”

¹³ And He said to them, “It is written, ^(A)‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ^(B)‘den of thieves.’ ”

³³ then hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, that all peoples of the earth may know Your name and fear You, as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that ^[a]this temple which I have built is called by Your name.

¹⁶ And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make ^(A)My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

The Corrupt Church

¹⁸ “And to the ^[a]angel of the church in Thyatira write,

‘These things says the Son of God, ^(A)who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: ^19 (B)“I know your works, love, ^[b]service, faith, and your ^[c]patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.
