⁴⁵ Therefore hear ^(A)the plan that the Lord has made against Babylon, ^(B)and the purposes that he has formed against the land of the Chaldeans: ^(C)Surely the little ones of their flock shall be dragged away; surely their fold shall be appalled at their fate.

²⁰ Therefore hear the plan that the Lord has made against ^(A)Edom and the purposes that he has formed against the inhabitants of ^(B)Teman: ^(C)Even the little ones of the flock shall be dragged away. Surely their fold shall be appalled at their fate.

^(D)The Lord has stirred up the spirit of the kings of ^(E)the Medes, because ^(F)his purpose concerning Babylon is to destroy it, ^(G)for that is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance for ^(H)his temple.

¹⁶ And ^(A)the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast ^(B)will hate the prostitute. They will make her ^(C)desolate and ^(D)naked, and ^(E)devour her flesh and ^(F)burn her up with fire, ¹⁷ for ^(G)God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and ^(H)handing over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.
