²² Do you not fear me? says the Lord;
    Do you not tremble before me?
I placed the sand as a boundary for the sea,
    a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass;
though the waves toss, they cannot prevail;
    though they roar, they cannot pass over it.^(A)

¹²⁰ My flesh trembles for fear of you,
    and I am afraid of your judgments.^(A)

⁹ You set a boundary that they may not pass,
    so that they might not again cover the earth.^(A)

⁷ Who would not fear you, O King of the nations?
    For that is your due;
among all the wise ones of the nations
    and in all their kingdoms
    there is no one like you.^(A)

²⁹ when he assigned to the sea its limit,
    so that the waters might not transgress his command,
when he marked out the foundations of the earth,^(A)

¹⁰ and prescribed bounds for it,
    and set bars and doors,^(A)
11 and said, ‘Thus far shall you come and no farther,
    and here shall your proud waves be stopped’?^(B)

¹⁰ He has described a circle on the face of the waters,
    at the boundary between light and darkness.^(A)

⁴ Lord, who will not fear
    and glorify your name?
For you alone are holy.
    All nations will come
    and worship before you,
for your judgments have been revealed.”^(A)

⁴ He rebukes the sea and makes it dry,
    and he dries up all the rivers;
Bashan and Carmel wither,
    and the bloom of Lebanon fades.
