Here ends the judgment on Moab.

⁵ Afterward the Israelites will return and seek^(A) the Lord their God and David their king.^(B) They will come trembling^(C) to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.^(D)

¹⁴ Now I have come to explain^(A) to you what will happen to your people in the future,^(B) for the vision concerns a time yet to come.^(C)”

²⁸ but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries.^(A) He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come.^(B) Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind^(C) as you were lying in bed^(D) are these:^(E)

⁸ After many days^(A) you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations^(B) to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.^(C)

⁵³ “‘However, I will restore^(A) the fortunes of Sodom and her daughters and of Samaria and her daughters, and your fortunes along with them,^{(B) 54} so that you may bear your disgrace^(C) and be ashamed of all you have done in giving them comfort. ⁵⁵ And your sisters, Sodom with her daughters and Samaria with her daughters, will return to what they were before; and you and your daughters will return to what you were before.^(D)

²⁶ I will give them into the hands^(A) of those who want to kill them—Nebuchadnezzar king^(B) of Babylon and his officers. Later, however, Egypt will be inhabited^(C) as in times past,” declares the Lord.
