²¹ Judgment has come upon the tableland, upon Holon, and Jahzah, and Mephaath,

¹⁸ and Jahaz, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

²³ But Sihon would not allow Israel to pass through his territory. Sihon gathered all his people together and went out against Israel to the wilderness; he came to Jahaz and fought against Israel.^(A)

⁹ therefore I will lay open the flank of Moab from the towns^[a] on its frontier, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim.

³⁶ Out of the tribe of Reuben: Bezer with its pasturelands, Jahzah with its pasturelands,^{(A) 37} Kedemoth with its pasturelands, and Mephaath with its pasturelands—four towns.
