^28 (A)And those who escape the sword shall return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, ^(B)few in number; and all the remnant of Judah, who came to the land of Egypt to live, ^(C)shall know whose word will stand, mine or theirs.

^14 (A)so that none of the remnant of Judah who have come to live in the land of Egypt shall escape or survive ^(B)or return to the land of Judah, to which they desire to return to dwell there. For they shall not return, ^(C)except some fugitives.”

²⁵ Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ^(A)You and your wives have declared with your mouths, and have fulfilled it with your hands, saying, ‘We will surely perform our vows that we have made, ^(B)to make offerings to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her.’ Then confirm your vows and perform your vows! ²⁶ Therefore hear the word of the Lord, ^(C)all you of Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: ^(D)Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the Lord, ^(E)that my name shall no more be invoked by the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, ^(F)saying, ‘As the Lord God lives.’

^6 (A)But my words and my statutes, which I commanded ^(B)my servants the prophets, did they not ^(C)overtake your fathers? So they repented and said, ^(D)‘As the Lord of hosts purposed to deal with us for ^(E)our ways and ^(F)deeds, so has he dealt with us.’”

¹² In that day ^(A)from the river Euphrates^[a] to the Brook of Egypt the Lord will thresh out the grain, and you will be gleaned one by one, O people of Israel. ¹³ And in that day ^(B)a great trumpet will be blown, ^(C)and those who were lost in the land of Assyria and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt ^(D)will come and worship the Lord on the holy mountain at Jerusalem.

^35 (A)Heaven and earth will pass away, but ^(B)my words will not pass away.
