Jeremiah Taken to Egypt

43 Now it happened, when Jeremiah had stopped speaking to all the people all the ^(A)words of the Lord their God, for which the Lord their God had sent him to them, all these words,

⁸ Now it happened, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak to all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying, “You will surely die!

⁶³ Now it shall be, when you have finished reading this book, ^(A)that you shall tie a stone to it and throw it out into the Euphrates.

²² Now therefore, know certainly that you ^(A)shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence in the place where you desire to go to dwell.”

²⁷ For I have not ^[a]shunned to declare to you ^(A)the whole counsel of God.

²⁰ “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people ^(A)all the words of this life.”

^20 (A)teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am ^(B)with you always, even to the end of the age.” ^[a]Amen.

³ that the Lord your God may show us ^(A)the way in which we should walk and the thing we should do.”

⁴ Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them, “I have heard. Indeed, I will pray to the Lord your God according to your words, and it shall be, that ^(B)whatever the Lord answers you, I will declare it to you. I will ^(C)keep nothing back from you.”

⁵ So they said to Jeremiah, ^(D)“Let the Lord be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not do according to everything which the Lord your God sends us by you.

² “Thus says the Lord: ‘Stand in ^(A)the court of the Lord’s house, and speak to all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord’s house, ^(B)all the words that I command you to speak to them. ^(C)Do not diminish a word.
