42 Then ^(A)all the commanders of the forces, and ^(B)Johanan the son of Kareah and Jezaniah the son of ^(C)Hoshaiah, and all the people ^(D)from the least to the greatest, came near

⁸ they went to Gedaliah at ^(A)Mizpah—^(B)Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, ^(C)Johanan the son of Kareah, Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, ^(D)Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.
