⁷ Then he gouged out Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him in bronze chains to lead him away to Babylon.

¹³ Then I will throw my net over him and capture him in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon, the land of the Babylonians,^[a] though he will never see it, and he will die there.

¹¹ Then he gouged out Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him in bronze chains, and the king of Babylon led him away to Babylon. Zedekiah remained there in prison until the day of his death.

⁴ King Zedekiah will be captured by the Babylonians^[a] and taken to meet the king of Babylon face to face. ⁵ He will take Zedekiah to Babylon, and I will deal with him there,’ says the Lord. ‘If you fight against the Babylonians, you will never succeed.’”

⁷ They made Zedekiah watch as they slaughtered his sons. Then they gouged out Zedekiah’s eyes, bound him in bronze chains, and led him away to Babylon.

²¹ So the Philistines captured him and gouged out his eyes. They took him to Gaza, where he was bound with bronze chains and forced to grind grain in the prison.
