⁹ “This is what the Lord says: Do not fool yourselves into thinking that the Babylonians are gone for good. They aren’t!

²² But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

³ Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness^[a] is revealed—the one who brings destruction.^[b]

⁶ Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him.

⁷ Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.

³ If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.

⁴ Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, ⁵ for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many.
