^5 (A)The army of Pharaoh had come out of Egypt. And when ^(B)the Chaldeans who were besieging Jerusalem heard news about them, ^(C)they withdrew from Jerusalem.

^15 (A)But he rebelled against him by sending his ambassadors ^(B)to Egypt, that they might give him horses and a large army. ^(C)Will he thrive? Can one escape who does such things? Can he ^(D)break the covenant and yet escape?

¹¹ Now when ^(A)the Chaldean army had withdrawn from Jerusalem at the approach of Pharaoh's army,

²¹ And ^(A)Zedekiah king of Judah and his officials I will give into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their lives, into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon ^(B)which has withdrawn from you.

^7 (A)And the king of Egypt did not come again out of his land, ^(B)for the king of Babylon had taken all that belonged to the king of Egypt ^(C)from the Brook of Egypt to the river Euphrates.

⁷ “Thus says the Lord, God of Israel: Thus shall you say to the king of Judah who ^(A)sent you to me to inquire of me, ‘Behold, ^(B)Pharaoh's army that came to help you is about to ^(C)return to Egypt, to its own land.
