¹⁸ Baruch answered them, “He dictated all these words to me, ^(A)while I wrote them with ink on the scroll.”

⁴ Then Jeremiah called ^(A)Baruch the son of Neriah, and ^(B)Baruch wrote on ^(C)a scroll at the dictation of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord that he had spoken to him.

² “Take ^(A)a scroll and ^(B)write on it all the words that I have spoken to you against Israel and ^(C)Judah ^(D)and all the nations, ^(E)from the day I spoke to you, from the days of Josiah until today.

² Azariah the son of ^(A)Hoshaiah and ^(B)Johanan the son of Kareah and ^(C)all the insolent men said to Jeremiah, “You are telling a lie. The Lord our God did not send you to say, ^(D)‘Do not go to Egypt to live there,’ ³ but ^(E)Baruch the son of Neriah ^(F)has set you against us, ^(G)to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they may kill us or take us into exile in Babylon.”
