¹⁹ therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not lack a man to ^(A)stand before Me forever.” ’ ”

^36 (A)Watch therefore, and ^(B)pray always that you may ^[a]be counted ^(C)worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and ^(D)to stand before the Son of Man.”

The Lord Reassures Jeremiah

¹⁹ Therefore thus says the Lord:

⁵⁵ And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez were the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Suchathites. These were the ^(A)Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of ^(B)Rechab.
