⁴ For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says about the houses in this city and the royal palaces of Judah that have been torn down to be used against the siege^(A) ramps^(B) and the sword

² Then lay siege to it: Erect siege works against it, build a ramp^(A) up to it, set up camps against it and put battering rams around it.^(B)

²² Into his right hand will come the lot for Jerusalem, where he is to set up battering rams, to give the command to slaughter, to sound the battle cry,^(A) to set battering rams against the gates, to build a ramp^(B) and to erect siege works.^(C)

⁸ He will ravage your settlements on the mainland with the sword; he will set up siege works^(A) against you, build a ramp^(B) up to your walls and raise his shields against you.
