⁹ “For this is like the waters of ^(A)Noah to Me;
For as I have sworn
That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth,
So have I sworn
That I would not be angry with ^(B)you, nor rebuke you.
¹⁰ For ^(C)the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed,
^(D)But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,”
Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

^19 (A)He appointed the moon for seasons;
The ^(B)sun knows its going down.
^20 (C)You make darkness, and it is night,
In which all the beasts of the forest creep about.
^21 (D)The young lions roar after their prey,
And seek their food from God.
²² When the sun rises, they gather together
And lie down in their dens.
²³ Man goes out to ^(E)his work
And to his labor until the evening.

²² “While the earth ^(A)remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And ^(B)day and night
Shall not cease.”

³⁵ Thus says the Lord,
^(A)Who gives the sun for a light by day,
The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night,
Who disturbs ^(B)the sea,
And its waves roar
^(C)(The Lord of hosts is His name):

³⁶ “If ^(D)those ordinances depart
From before Me, says the Lord,
Then the seed of Israel shall also cease
From being a nation before Me forever.”

^(E)“If heaven above can be measured,
And the foundations of the earth searched out beneath,
I will also ^(F)cast off all the seed of Israel
For all that they have done, says the Lord.
