⁹ So I bought the field from Hanamel, the son of my uncle who was in Anathoth, and ^(A)weighed out to him the money—seventeen shekels of silver.

¹² Then I said to them, “If it is ^[a]agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain.” So they ^(A)weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver.

¹³ And the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the ^(B)potter”—that princely price they set on me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord for the potter.

⁹ If it pleases the king, let a decree be written that they be destroyed, and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver into the hands of those who do the work, to bring it into the king’s treasuries.”

² So I bought her for myself for fifteen shekels of silver, and one and one-half homers of barley.

²⁸ Then ^(A)Midianite traders passed by; so the brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, ^(B)and sold him to the Ishmaelites for ^(C)twenty shekels of silver. And they took Joseph to Egypt.
