⁸ “And it shall come to pass in that day, declares the Lord of hosts, that I will ^(A)break his ^(B)yoke from off your neck, and I will ^(C)burst your bonds, ^(D)and foreigners shall no more make a servant of him.^[a]

^27 (A)And the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase, ^(B)and they shall be secure in their land. And ^(C)they shall know that I am the Lord, when ^(D)I break the bars of their yoke, and ^(E)deliver them from the hand of those who enslaved them.

² Thus the Lord said to me: ^(A)“Make yourself straps and ^(B)yoke-bars, and put them on your neck.

¹⁰ Then the prophet Hananiah took the ^(A)yoke-bars from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet and broke them.

¹³ “Go, tell Hananiah, ‘Thus says the Lord: You have broken wooden bars, but you have made in their place bars of iron.

^7 (A)All the nations shall serve him and ^(B)his son and ^(C)his grandson, ^(D)until the time of his own land comes. ^(E)Then many nations and great kings shall make him their slave.

^14 (A)For many nations ^(B)and great kings shall make slaves even of them, ^(C)and I will recompense them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.”
