    Wrath has gone forth,

    it will burst upon the head of the wicked.
^20 (C)The anger of the Lord will not turn back
    until he has executed and ^(D)accomplished
    the intents of his heart.
^(E)In the latter days you will understand it clearly.

¹⁴ Then the Lord will appear over them,
    and ^(A)his arrow will go forth like lightning;
^(B)the Lord God will sound the trumpet
    and will march forth in ^(C)the whirlwinds ^(D)of the south.

²⁷ when terror strikes you like ^(A)a storm
    and your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
    when distress and anguish come upon you.

⁹ Sooner than your pots can feel the heat of ^(A)thorns,
    whether green or ablaze, may he ^(B)sweep them away!^[a]
