¹⁰ Then the prophet Hananiah took the yoke from the neck of the prophet Jeremiah and broke it.^(A)

² Thus the Lord said to me: Make for yourself yoke straps and bars and put them on your neck.^(A)

¹³ You have spoken harsh words against me, says the Lord. Yet you say, “How have we spoken against you?”^(A)

²³ As Jehudi read three or four columns, he would cut them off with a penknife and throw them into the fire in the brazier, until the entire scroll was consumed in the fire that was in the brazier. ²⁴ Yet neither the king nor any of his servants who heard all these words was alarmed, nor did they tear their garments.^(A)

⁴ I will also bring back to this place King Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim of Judah and all the exiles from Judah who went to Babylon, says the Lord, for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.”^(A)

² “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.^(A)

²⁴ Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah came up to Micaiah, slapped him on the cheek, and said, “Which way did the spirit of the Lord pass from me to speak to you?”^{(A) 25} Micaiah replied, “You will find out on that day when you go in to hide in an inner chamber.”^(B)

¹¹ Zedekiah son of Chenaanah made for himself horns of iron, and he said, “Thus says the Lord: With these you shall gore the Arameans until they are destroyed.”^(A)
