^6 (A)And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, ^(B)My servant; and ^(C)the beasts of the field I have also given him to serve him.

¹⁴ For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ^(A)“I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him. ^(B)I have given him the beasts of the field also.” ’ ”

⁹ behold, I will send and take ^(A)all the families of the north,’ says the Lord, ‘and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, ^(B)My servant, and will bring them against this land, against its inhabitants, and against these nations all around, and will utterly destroy them, and ^(C)make them an astonishment, a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

^37 (A)You, O king, are a king of kings. ^(B)For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory; ^38 (C)and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all—^(D)you are this head of gold.

¹⁸ “Son of man, ^(A)Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to labor strenuously against Tyre; every head was made ^(B)bald, and every shoulder rubbed raw; yet neither he nor his army received wages from Tyre, for the labor which they expended on it. ¹⁹ Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Surely I will give the land of Egypt to ^(C)Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; he shall take away her wealth, carry off her spoil, and remove her pillage; and that will be the wages for his army. ²⁰ I have given him the land of Egypt for his labor, because they ^(D)worked for Me,’ says the Lord God.

¹⁰ and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Behold, I will send and bring Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, ^(A)My servant, and will set his throne above these stones that I have hidden. And he will spread his royal pavilion over them.

¹⁸ O king, ^(A)the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your ^[a]father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor. ¹⁹ And because of the majesty that He gave him, ^(B)all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whomever he wished, he ^(C)executed; whomever he wished, he kept alive; whomever he wished, he set up; and whomever he wished, he put down.
