⁶ Now I will give all your countries into the hands of my servant^(A) Nebuchadnezzar^(B) king of Babylon; I will make even the wild animals subject to him.^(C)

¹⁴ This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I will put an iron yoke^(A) on the necks of all these nations to make them serve^(B) Nebuchadnezzar^(C) king of Babylon, and they will serve him. I will even give him control over the wild animals.^(D)’”

⁹ I will summon^(A) all the peoples of the north^(B) and my servant^(C) Nebuchadnezzar^(D) king of Babylon,” declares the Lord, “and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy^[a](E) them and make them an object of horror and scorn,^(F) and an everlasting ruin.^(G)

³⁷ Your Majesty, you are the king of kings.^(A) The God of heaven has given you dominion^(B) and power and might and glory; ³⁸ in your hands he has placed all mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds in the sky. Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them all.^(C) You are that head of gold.

¹⁸ “Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar^(A) king of Babylon drove his army in a hard campaign against Tyre; every head was rubbed bare^(B) and every shoulder made raw.^(C) Yet he and his army got no reward from the campaign he led against Tyre. ¹⁹ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to give Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king^(D) of Babylon, and he will carry off its wealth. He will loot and plunder^(E) the land as pay for his army.^{(F) 20} I have given him Egypt^(G) as a reward for his efforts because he and his army did it for me, declares the Sovereign Lord.^(H)

¹⁰ Then say to them, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I will send for my servant^(A) Nebuchadnezzar^(B) king of Babylon, and I will set his throne^(C) over these stones I have buried here; he will spread his royal canopy^(D) above them.

¹⁸ “Your Majesty, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar^(A) sovereignty and greatness and glory and splendor.^{(B) 19} Because of the high position he gave him, all the nations and peoples of every language dreaded and feared him. Those the king wanted to put to death, he put to death;^(C) those he wanted to spare, he spared; those he wanted to promote, he promoted; and those he wanted to humble, he humbled.^(D)
