17 And the (A)pillars of bronze that were in the house of the Lord, and the stands and the (B)bronze sea that were in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans broke in pieces, and (C)carried all the bronze to Babylon. 18 And they took away (D)the pots and the shovels and the snuffers and the basins and the dishes for incense and all the vessels of bronze used in the temple service; 19 (E)also the small bowls and the fire pans and the basins and the pots and (F)the lampstands and (G)the dishes for incense (H)and the bowls for drink offerings. What was of gold the captain of the guard took away as gold, and what was of silver, as silver. 20 As for the two pillars, the one sea, (I)the twelve bronze bulls that were under the sea,[a] and the stands, which Solomon the king had made for the house of the Lord, the bronze of all these things was beyond weight. 21 As for the pillars, the height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits,[b] (J)its circumference was twelve cubits, and its thickness was four fingers, and it was hollow. 22 On it was a capital of bronze. The height of the one capital was (K)five cubits. A network and pomegranates, all of bronze, were around the capital. And the second pillar had the same, with pomegranates. 23 There were ninety-six pomegranates on the sides; all the pomegranates were a hundred upon the network all around.

  1. 2 Kings 25:17 A cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters

(A)Then he made the sea of cast metal. It was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference. Under it were figures of gourds,[a] for ten cubits, compassing the sea all around. The gourds were in two rows, cast with it when it was cast. It stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east. The sea was set on them, and all their rear parts were inward. Its thickness was a handbreadth.[b] And its brim was made like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily. (B)It held 3,000 baths.[c] (C)He also made ten basins in which to wash, and set five on the south side, and five on the north side. In these they were to rinse off what was used for the burnt offering, and the sea was for the priests to wash in.

And he made ten golden lampstands (D)as prescribed, and set them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. (E)He also made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. And he made a hundred basins of gold. He made (F)the court of the priests (G)and the great court and doors for the court and overlaid their doors with bronze. 10 (H)And he set the sea at the southeast corner of the house.

11 (I)(J)Hiram also made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. (K)So Hiram finished the work that he did for King Solomon on the house of God: 12 the two pillars, (L)the bowls, and the two capitals on the top of the pillars; and the two latticeworks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; 13 (M)and the 400 pomegranates for the two latticeworks, two rows of pomegranates for each latticework, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars. 14 (N)He made the stands also, and the basins on the stands, 15 and the one sea, and the twelve oxen underneath it. 16 The pots, the shovels, (O)the forks, and all the equipment for these (P)(Q)Huram-abi made of burnished bronze for King Solomon for the house of the Lord.

15 (A)He cast (B)two pillars of bronze. (C)Eighteen cubits was the height of one pillar, and a line of twelve cubits measured its circumference. It was hollow, and its thickness was four fingers. The second pillar was the same.[a] 16 He also made two capitals of cast bronze to set on the tops of the pillars. The height of the one capital was five cubits, and (D)the height of the other capital was five cubits. 17 There were lattices of checker work with wreaths of chain work for the capitals on the tops of the pillars, a lattice[b] for the one capital and a lattice for the other capital. 18 Likewise he made pomegranates[c] in two rows around the one latticework to cover the capital that was on the top of the pillar, and he did the same with the other capital. 19 Now the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars in the vestibule were of lily-work, four cubits. 20 The capitals were on the two pillars and also above the rounded projection which was beside the latticework. There were (E)two hundred pomegranates in two rows all around, and so with the other capital. 21 (F)He set up the pillars at the vestibule of the temple. He set up the pillar on the south and called its name Jachin, and he set up the pillar on the north and called its name Boaz. 22 And on the tops of the pillars was lily-work. Thus the work of the pillars was finished.
