² “Thus says the Lord: ‘Stand in ^(A)the court of the Lord’s house, and speak to all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord’s house, ^(B)all the words that I command you to speak to them. ^(C)Do not diminish a word.

^2 (A)You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

²⁷ For I have not ^[a]shunned to declare to you ^(A)the whole counsel of God.

^20 (A)teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am ^(B)with you always, even to the end of the age.” ^[a]Amen.

¹⁴ Then Jeremiah came from Tophet, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in ^(A)the court of the Lord’s house and said to all the people,

²⁰ how ^(A)I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house,

⁴² And daily ^(A)in the temple, and in every house, ^(B)they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

²⁰ Jesus answered him, ^(A)“I spoke openly to the world. I always taught ^(B)in synagogues and ^(C)in the temple, where ^[a]the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing.

^17 (A)“Son of man, I have made you ^(B)a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them ^(C)warning from Me: ¹⁸ When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man ^(D)shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. ¹⁹ Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; ^(E)but you have delivered your soul.
