^33 (A)And at that day the slain of the Lord shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be ^(B)lamented, ^(C)or gathered, or buried; they shall become refuse on the ground.

² They shall spread them before the sun and the moon and all the host of heaven, which they have loved and which they have served and after which they have walked, which they have sought and ^(A)which they have worshiped. They shall not be gathered ^(B)nor buried; they shall be like refuse on the face of the earth.

⁴ “They shall die ^(A)gruesome deaths; they shall not be ^(B)lamented nor shall they be ^(C)buried, but they shall be ^(D)like refuse on the face of the earth. They shall be consumed by the sword and by famine, and their ^(E)corpses shall be meat for the birds of heaven and for the beasts of the earth.”

⁵ For thus says the Lord: ^(F)“Do not enter the house of mourning, nor go to lament or bemoan them; for I have taken away My peace from this people,” says the Lord, “lovingkindness and mercies. ⁶ Both the great and the small shall die in this land. They shall not be buried; ^(G)neither shall men lament for them, ^(H)cut themselves, nor ^(I)make themselves bald for them. ⁷ Nor shall men break bread in mourning for them, to comfort them for the dead; nor shall men give them the cup of consolation to ^(J)drink for their father or their mother.

The Beast and His Armies Defeated

¹⁷ Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, ^(A)“Come and gather together for the ^[a]supper of the great God, ^18 (B)that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, ^[b]free and slave, both small and great.”

^19 (C)And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. ^20 (D)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and ^(E)those who worshiped his image. ^(F)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire ^(G)burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest ^(H)were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. ^(I)And all the birds ^(J)were filled with their flesh.

¹⁹ So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into ^(A)the great winepress of the wrath of God. ²⁰ And ^(B)the winepress was trampled ^(C)outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, ^(D)up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred ^[a]furlongs.

^9 (A)Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations ^[a]will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, ^(B)and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves.
