²² But if they had stood in My counsel,
And had caused My people to hear My words,
Then they would have ^(A)turned them from their evil way
And from the evil of their doings.

^13 (A)Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord,
Or as His counselor has taught Him?
¹⁴ With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him,
And ^(B)taught Him in the path of justice?
Who taught Him knowledge,
And showed Him the way of understanding?

^14 (A)The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him,
And He will show them His covenant.

^8 (A)Have you heard the counsel of God?
Do you limit wisdom to yourself?
^9 (B)What do you know that we do not know?
What do you understand that is not in us?
^10 (C)Both the gray-haired and the aged are among us,
Much older than your father.
