¹⁹ great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of mortals, rewarding all according to their ways and according to the fruit of their doings.^(A)

¹³ He burned the house of the Lord, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem; every great house he burned down.^(A)

¹⁹ They burned the house of God, broke down the wall of Jerusalem, burned all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all its precious vessels.^(A)

⁷ Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow.^{(A) 8} If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh, but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit.^(B)

⁴⁶ Mortal, set your face toward the south, preach against the south, and prophesy against the forest land in the Negeb;^{(A) 47} say to the forest of the Negeb: Hear the word of the Lord: Thus says the Lord God: I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree in you and every dry tree; the blazing flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from south to north shall be scorched by it.^{(B) 48} All flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.^(C)

²⁵ The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will attend to all those who are circumcised only in the foreskin:^(A)
