¹³ Sing^(A) to the Lord!
    Give praise to the Lord!
He rescues^(B) the life of the needy
    from the hands of the wicked.^(C)

³³ The Lord hears the needy^(A)
    and does not despise his captive people.

⁹ Then my soul will rejoice^(A) in the Lord
    and delight in his salvation.^(B)
10 My whole being will exclaim,
    “Who is like you,^(C) Lord?
You rescue the poor from those too strong^(D) for them,
    the poor and needy^(E) from those who rob them.”

¹¹ Ruthless witnesses^(F) come forward;
    they question me on things I know nothing about.

⁴ May he defend the afflicted^(A) among the people
    and save the children of the needy;^(B)
    may he crush the oppressor.^(C)

⁶ This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
    he saved him out of all his troubles.^(A)

³⁰ With my mouth I will greatly extol the Lord;
    in the great throng^(A) of worshipers I will praise him.
³¹ For he stands at the right hand^(B) of the needy,
    to save their lives from those who would condemn them.
