¹³ Therefore I will hurl you out of this land into a land that neither you nor your ancestors have known, and there you shall serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.^(A)

³⁶ The Lord will bring you and the king whom you set over you to a nation that neither you nor your ancestors have known, where you shall serve other gods, of wood and stone.^(A)

²⁶ I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that you will soon utterly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to occupy; you will not live long on it but will be utterly destroyed.^{(A) 27} The Lord will scatter you among the peoples; only a few of you will be left among the nations where the Lord will lead you.^{(B) 28} There you will serve gods made by human hands, objects of wood and stone that neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.^(C)

¹⁴ I will make you serve your enemies in a land that you do not know, for in my anger a fire is kindled that shall burn against you.^(A)

⁴ By your own act you shall lose the heritage that I gave you, and I will make you serve your enemies in a land that you do not know, for in my anger a fire is kindled that shall burn forever.^(A)

²⁰ then I will pluck you^[a] up from the land that I have given you,^[b] and this house, which I have consecrated for my name, I will cast out of my sight and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.^(A)

¹⁷ But if your heart turns away and you do not hear but are led astray to bow down to other gods and serve them, ¹⁸ I declare to you today that you shall certainly perish; you shall not live long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.^(A)

²⁷ (for the inhabitants of the land, who were before you, committed all of these abominations, and the land became defiled); ²⁸ otherwise the land will vomit you out for defiling it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

⁴ I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what King Manasseh son of Hezekiah of Judah did in Jerusalem.^(A)
