²⁹ Even though someone is pursuing you to take your life,^(A) the life of my lord will be bound securely in the bundle of the living by the Lord your God, but the lives of your enemies he will hurl^(B) away as from the pocket of a sling.^(C)

⁶ But did not my words^(A) and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your ancestors?^(B)

“Then they repented and said, ‘The Lord Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve,^(C) just as he determined to do.’”^(D)

¹⁰ And they will know that I am the Lord;^(A) I did not threaten in vain to bring this calamity on them.^(B)

¹³ So I will throw you out of this land^(A) into a land neither you nor your ancestors have known,^(B) and there you will serve other gods^(C) day and night, for I will show you no favor.’^(D)

15 Then the Lord said to me: “Even if Moses^(A) and Samuel^(B) were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people.^(C) Send them away from my presence!^(D) Let them go! ² And if they ask you, ‘Where shall we go?’ tell them, ‘This is what the Lord says:

⁶³ Just as it pleased^(A) the Lord to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please^(B) him to ruin and destroy you.^(C) You will be uprooted^(D) from the land you are entering to possess.

⁶⁴ Then the Lord will scatter^(E) you among all nations,^(F) from one end of the earth to the other.^(G) There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known.^(H)
