8 Behold, I am (A)bringing them from the north country,
And I will (B)gather them from the remote parts of the earth,
Among them those who are (C)blind and those who (D)limp,
The pregnant woman and she who is in labor, together;
They will return here as a great assembly.
9 (E)They will come with weeping,
And by pleading I will bring them;
I will lead them by (F)streams of waters,
On a straight path on which they will (G)not stumble;
For I am a (H)father to Israel,
And Ephraim is (I)My firstborn.”

8 See, I will bring them from the land of the north(A)
and gather(B) them from the ends of the earth.
Among them will be the blind(C) and the lame,(D)
expectant mothers and women in labor;
a great throng will return.
9 They will come with weeping;(E)
they will pray as I bring them back.
I will lead(F) them beside streams of water(G)
on a level(H) path where they will not stumble,
because I am Israel’s father,(I)
and Ephraim is my firstborn son.
