⁶ You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.

^23 (B)who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but ^(C)committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;

² You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and ^[a]war. ^[b]Yet you do not have because you do not ask.

³² The place in the Scripture which he read was this:

⁹ and went again into the Praetorium, and said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” ^(A)But Jesus gave him no answer.

¹⁰ Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have ^[a]power to crucify You, and power to release You?”

¹¹ Jesus answered, ^(B)“You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore ^(C)the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”

⁵¹ But Jesus answered and said, “Permit even this.” And He touched his ear and healed him.

^52 (A)Then Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and the elders who had come to Him, “Have you come out, as against a ^(B)robber, with swords and clubs? ⁵³ When I was with you daily in the ^(C)temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your ^(D)hour, and the power of darkness.”

^39 (A)But I tell you not to resist an evil person. ^(B)But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.
