James 5:2-4

²Your riches will rot, and your clothes will be eaten by moths. ³Your gold and silver will rust, and rust will be a proof that you were wrong. It will eat your bodies like fire. You saved your treasure for the last days. ⁴Men worked in your fields, but you did not pay them. They harvested your crops and are crying out against you. Now the Lord of heaven’s armies has heard their cries.

²Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes.^(A) ³Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.^(B) ⁴Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers^(C) who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries^(D) of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.^(E)

³Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

⁴Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
