But if you fulfill the royal law as expressed in this scripture,[a]You shall love your neighbor as yourself,”[b] you are doing well. But if you show prejudice, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as violators.[c] 10 For the one who obeys the whole law but fails[d] in one point has become guilty of all of it.[e] 11 For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,”[f] also said, “Do not murder.”[g] Now if you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a violator of the law.

You do well when you really fulfill the royal law found in scripture, Love your neighbor as yourself.[a] But when you show favoritism, you are committing a sin, and by that same law you are exposed as a lawbreaker. 10 Anyone who tries to keep all of the Law but fails at one point is guilty of failing to keep all of it. 11 The one who said, Don’t commit adultery, also said, Don’t commit murder.[b] So if you don’t commit adultery but do commit murder, you are a lawbreaker.
