James 2:8-11
Legacy Standard Bible
8 If, however, you (A)are fulfilling the [a]royal law according to the Scripture, “(B)You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. 9 But if you (C)show partiality, you are committing sin, being convicted by the [b]law as transgressors. 10 For whoever keeps the whole [c]law and yet (D)stumbles in one point, he has become (E)guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “(F)Do not commit adultery,” also said, “(G)Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the [d]law.

8 However, if you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,”[a] you are doing well. 9 But if you show favoritism, you are committing a sin, since you are convicted by this law as transgressors.
Keep the Whole Law
10 In fact, whoever keeps the whole law but stumbles in one point has become guilty of breaking all of it. 11 For the one who said, “Do not commit adultery,”[b] also said, “Do not commit murder.”[c] Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do commit murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
