James 2:8-11

8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, (A)“You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. 9 But if you (B)show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point (C)has become guilty of all of it. 11 For he who said, (D)“Do not commit adultery,” also said, (E)“Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

8 Indeed, if you keep the royal law prescribed in the Scripture, Love your neighbor as yourself,(A)[a] you are doing well. 9 But if you show favoritism,(B) you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever keeps the entire law, yet fails in one point, is guilty of breaking it all.(C) 11 For He who said, Do not commit adultery,[b] also said, Do not murder.(D)[c] So if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you are a lawbreaker.
