James 1:9-11

9 (A)Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; 10 but the rich person is to glory in his [a]humiliation, because (B)like [b]flowering grass he will pass away. 11 For the sun rises with (C)its scorching heat and (D)withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so also the rich person, in the midst of his pursuits, will die out.

9 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, 10 but the rich in his humiliation, because (A)as a flower of the field he will pass away. 11 For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.
