New American Standard Bible
5 But if any of you (A)lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and [a]without reproach, and (B)it will be given to him. 6 But he must (C)ask in faith (D)without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, (E)driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that person ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8 being a (F)[b]double-minded man, (G)unstable in all his ways.

American Standard Version
5 But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like the surge of the sea driven by the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think [a]that he shall receive anything of the Lord; 8 a doubleminded man, unstable in all his ways.
