James 1:5-8
Legacy Standard Bible
5 But if any of you (A)lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and [a]without reproach, and (B)it will be given to him. 6 But he must (C)ask in faith, (D)doubting nothing, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, (E)driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8 being a [b](F)double-minded man, (G)unstable in all his ways.

James 1:5-8
New International Version
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God,(A) who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.(B) 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt,(C) because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded(D) and unstable(E) in all they do.
