James 1:26-27

26 If anyone[a] thinks he is religious without controlling his tongue,(A) his religion is useless and he deceives himself. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to look after orphans and widows(B) in their distress and to keep oneself unstained from the world.(C)

26 If anyone thinks that he is religious and does not bridle his tongue, but instead deceives himself,[a] his religion is worthless. 27 A religion that is pure and stainless according to[b] God the Father is this: to take care of orphans and widows who are suffering, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
