20 for human[a] anger does not accomplish the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore, putting aside all moral uncleanness and wicked excess, welcome[b] with humility the implanted message which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the message and not hearers only,[c] deceiving yourselves,

20 because human anger(A) does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of(B) all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you,(C) which can save you.
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.(D)
