James 4:6

⁶But ^(A)he gives more grace. Therefore it says, ^(B)“God opposes the proud but ^(C)gives grace to the humble.”

⁶But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”^[a]^(A)

¹⁶^(A)Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

¹⁶Let us then approach^(A) God’s throne of grace with confidence,^(B) so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
