¹¹Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

New International Version

¹¹Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?

¹²Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

¹²My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs?^(A) Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
