9 (A)But the [a]brother of humble circumstances is to boast in his high position; 10 and the rich man is to boast in his humiliation, because (B)like [b]flowering grass he will pass away. 11 For the sun rises with [c](C)a scorching heat and (D)withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.

9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position.(A) 10 But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.(B) 11 For the sun rises with scorching heat(C) and withers(D) the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed.(E) In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business.
