But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature(A) and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God,(B) who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.(C) But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt,(D) because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
