54 »Pjevaj, nerotkinjo, ti koja nisi rađala!
Zapjevaj i kliči, ti koja nisi imala trudove.
Više ima djece žena koja je sama
nego ona što ima muža.
2 Proširi mjesto za svoj šator,
raširi šatorske zastore,
produži konopce, ojačaj kolčiće.
3 Jer, proširit ćeš se desno i lijevo;
tvoji će potomci oduzeti posjed narodima
i nastaniti se u njihovim pustim gradovima.
4 Ne boj se, jer se nećeš postidjeti,
ne plaši se sramote, jer nećeš biti ponižena.
Zaboravit ćeš sramotu iz svoje mladosti
i nećeš se sjećati poniženja svoga udovištva.
5 Jer, tvoj Stvoritelj ti je muž[a],
a zove se BOG Svevladar.
Izraelova Svetinja tvoj je Otkupitelj,
zovu ga Bog cijelog svijeta.
6 BOG te je pozvao
kao žalosnu i ostavljenu ženu,
kao mladu ženu koja je odbačena«,
to kaže tvoj Bog.
7 »Nakratko sam te napustio,
ali vratit ću te u velikoj samilosti.
8 Na tren sam, i u naletu ljutnje,
sakrio lice od tebe,
ali smilovat ću ti se u vječnoj ljubavi«,
kaže BOG, tvoj Otkupitelj.
9 »Ovo je vrijeme poput Noina.
Kao što sam se Noi zakleo
da vode više neće potopiti zemlju,
tako se i sada zaklinjem
da više neću biti ljut na tebe
i da te više neću koriti.
10 Da se i planine poljuljaju
i bregovi pretvore u prašinu,
neće se poljuljati moja ljubav za tebe,
niti će se raskinuti moj savez mira«,
to kaže BOG koji ti se smilovao.
11 »O, jadni grade!
Oluje su te šibale,
a nitko te nije utješio.
Podići ću te ponovo od tirkiza,
temelji će ti biti od smaragda.
12 Napravit ću ti grudobrane od rubina,
vrata od blještavih dragulja,
a zidine od dragog kamenja.
13 Sve tvoje sinove poučit će BOG,
a tvoja će djeca uživati veliki mir.
14 Bit ćeš utemeljen na pravednosti,
slobodan od ugnjetavanja,
nećeš se ničega plašiti.
Strah će biti udaljen od tebe,
neće ti se niti primaknuti.
15 Ako te tko i napadne,
nisam ga ja poslao.
Tko te god napadne,
zbog tebe će i pasti.«
16 »Evo, ja sam stvorio kovača. On raspaljuje žeravicu i iz nje vadi oružje da ga kuje. A stvorio sam i razarača, da uništava.
17 Oružje skovano protiv tebe neće te pobijediti. Ušutkat ćeš svaki jezik koji te optužuje. To je nasljedstvo BOŽJIH slugu jer sam ih ja opravdao«, kaže BOG.

54 “Hỡi phụ nữ hiếm hoi,
Không sinh nở, hãy hát lên;
Hỡi người chưa từng đau đớn sinh nở
Hãy cất tiếng ca hát và reo hò.
Vì con cái của phụ nữ bị ruồng bỏ
Sẽ nhiều hơn con cái của phụ nữ có chồng,”
CHÚA phán như vậy.
2 “Hãy nới rộng chỗ trại ngươi ở;
Căng các tấm bạt của trại ngươi ra,
Đừng giữ lại.
Hãy giăng dây cho dài,
Đóng cọc cho chắc.
3 Vì ngươi sẽ tràn ra bên phải lẫn bên trái;
Dòng dõi ngươi sẽ chiếm hữu các nước
Và định cư trong các thành bỏ hoang.
4 Đừng sợ; vì ngươi sẽ không bị xấu hổ,
Chớ lo; vì ngươi sẽ không bị nhục nhã;
Vì ngươi sẽ quên sự xấu hổ của thời thanh xuân
Và không còn nhớ nữa nỗi nhục nhã của thời góa bụa.
5 Vì Đấng tạo ra ngươi là chồng ngươi;
Danh Ngài là CHÚA Vạn Quân.
Đấng chuộc ngươi lại chính là Đấng Thánh của Y-sơ-ra-ên;
Ngài được xưng là Đức Chúa Trời của cả trái đất.
6 Vì CHÚA đã gọi ngươi về
Như người vợ bị bỏ và đau khổ trong lòng;[a]
Tức là người vợ cưới thời thanh xuân đã bị bỏ;”[b]
Đức Chúa Trời ngươi phán như vậy.
7 “Ta đã bỏ ngươi trong một thời gian ngắn
Nhưng với lòng thương xót lớn lao Ta sẽ đón ngươi về.
8 Trong cơn thịnh nộ bừng bừng,
Ta đã tránh mặt không nhận ngươi trong một lúc;
Nhưng với tình yêu thương đời đời
Ta sẽ thương xót ngươi,”
CHÚA, Đấng Cứu Chuộc ngươi phán như vậy.
9 “Điều này đối với Ta cũng như nạn nước[c] lụt thời Nô-ê;
Như Ta đã thề rằng nước lụt thời Nô-ê sẽ không bao giờ tràn ngập đất nữa,
Thì Ta cũng thề rằng Ta sẽ không giận ngươi
Và không quở trách ngươi.
10 Dù núi dời,
Dù đồi chuyển
Nhưng tình yêu thương Ta dành cho ngươi sẽ không đổi;
Giao ước bình an của Ta cũng không thay.”
CHÚA, Đấng thương xót ngươi, phán như vậy.
11 “Hỡi kẻ khốn khổ,[d] đang bị bão tố, không người an ủi,
Này chính Ta sẽ dùng đá màu[e] lát đá cho ngươi;
Xây nền cho ngươi bằng lam ngọc.[f]
12 Ta sẽ xây các tháp canh ngươi bằng hồng ngọc,
Các cổng thành ngươi bằng ngọc lóng lánh
Và tất cả tường thành ngươi bằng đá quý.
13 Tất cả con cái ngươi sẽ được CHÚA dạy dỗ;
Chúng sẽ được thái bình thịnh vượng.[g]
14 Ngươi sẽ được thiết lập trong sự công chính;
Ngươi sẽ tránh xa áp bức
Vì chẳng sợ chi
Và thoát khỏi kinh hoàng
Vì nó sẽ không đến gần ngươi.
15 Nếu người nào lập mưu hại ngươi, điều đó không phải đến từ Ta.
Ai lập mưu hại ngươi sẽ vì ngươi mà ngã.
16 Này, chính Ta đã tạo nên thợ rèn
Thổi lửa đốt than
Và chế ra vũ khí để dùng.
Chính Ta đã tạo nên kẻ phá hoại để gây ra sự tàn phá.
17 Mọi vũ khí tạo nên để chống lại ngươi đều thất bại.[h]
Mọi lưỡi dấy lên tố cáo ngươi đều sẽ bị bác bỏ.
Đó là cơ nghiệp của các tôi tớ của CHÚA
Và sự xác minh từ Ta mà đến;”[i] CHÚA tuyên bố như vậy.

54 “Sing, barren woman,(A)
you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy,(B)
you who were never in labor;(C)
because more are the children(D) of the desolate(E) woman
than of her who has a husband,(F)”
says the Lord.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent,(G)
stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
strengthen your stakes.(H)
3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left;
your descendants(I) will dispossess nations(J)
and settle in their desolate(K) cities.
4 “Do not be afraid;(L) you will not be put to shame.(M)
Do not fear disgrace;(N) you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth(O)
and remember no more the reproach(P) of your widowhood.(Q)
5 For your Maker(R) is your husband(S)—
the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One(T) of Israel is your Redeemer;(U)
he is called the God of all the earth.(V)
6 The Lord will call you back(W)
as if you were a wife deserted(X) and distressed in spirit—
a wife who married young,(Y)
only to be rejected,” says your God.
7 “For a brief moment(Z) I abandoned(AA) you,
but with deep compassion(AB) I will bring you back.(AC)
8 In a surge of anger(AD)
I hid(AE) my face from you for a moment,
but with everlasting kindness(AF)
I will have compassion(AG) on you,”
says the Lord your Redeemer.(AH)
9 “To me this is like the days of Noah,
when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth.(AI)
So now I have sworn(AJ) not to be angry(AK) with you,
never to rebuke(AL) you again.
10 Though the mountains be shaken(AM)
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love(AN) for you will not be shaken(AO)
nor my covenant(AP) of peace(AQ) be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion(AR) on you.
11 “Afflicted(AS) city, lashed by storms(AT) and not comforted,(AU)
I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise,[a](AV)
your foundations(AW) with lapis lazuli.(AX)
12 I will make your battlements of rubies,
your gates(AY) of sparkling jewels,
and all your walls of precious stones.
13 All your children will be taught by the Lord,(AZ)
and great will be their peace.(BA)
14 In righteousness(BB) you will be established:(BC)
Tyranny(BD) will be far from you;
you will have nothing to fear.(BE)
Terror(BF) will be far removed;
it will not come near you.
15 If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing;
whoever attacks you will surrender(BG) to you.
16 “See, it is I who created the blacksmith(BH)
who fans the coals into flame
and forges a weapon(BI) fit for its work.
And it is I who have created the destroyer(BJ) to wreak havoc;
17 no weapon forged against you will prevail,(BK)
and you will refute(BL) every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants(BM) of the Lord,
and this is their vindication(BN) from me,”
declares the Lord.

54 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.
2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
13 And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
