³Ganito ang ipinasabi niya kay Isaias: “Ang araw na ito ay araw ng paghihirap, ng pagpaparusa at kahihiyan. Para tayong isang inang dapat nang magsilang, ngunit hindi magawâ dahil nanghihina. ⁴Marahil ay narinig ni Yahweh na inyong Diyos ang sinabi ng punong ministro ng Asiria na sinugo ng kanyang hari upang lapastanganin ang Diyos na buháy. Sana'y parusahan niya ang kalapastanganang iyon. Kaya, idalangin mo ang natitira pa sa bayan ng Diyos.”

³At sinabi nila sa kaniya, Ganito ang sabi ni Ezechias, ^(A)Ang araw na ito ay kaarawan ng kabagabagan, at ng pagsaway, at ng paghamak: sapagka't ^(B)ang mga anak ay dumating sa kapanganakan, at walang kalakasang ipanganak.

⁴Marahil ay pakikinggan ng Panginoon mong Dios ang mga salita ni Rabsaces, na siyang sinugo ng kaniyang panginoon na hari sa Asiria upang tungayawin ang buháy na Dios, at sansalain ang mga salita na narinig ng Panginoon mong Dios: kaya't ilakas mo ang iyong dalangin dahil sa ^(C)nalabi na naiwan.

³They told him, “This is what Hezekiah says: This day is a day of distress^(A) and rebuke and disgrace, as when children come to the moment of birth^(B) and there is no strength to deliver them. ⁴It may be that the Lord your God will hear the words of the field commander, whom his master, the king of Assyria, has sent to ridicule^(C) the living God,^(D) and that he will rebuke him for the words the Lord your God has heard.^(E) Therefore pray^(F) for the remnant^(G) that still survives.”

³And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

⁴It may be the Lord thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the Lord thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.

⁵So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
