8 Mamamatay ang mga taga-Asiria, pero hindi sa pamamagitan ng espada ng tao. Tatakas sila mula sa digmaan, at magiging alipin ang kanilang mga kabataan. 9 Tatakas ang kanilang mga kawal[a] dahil sa takot, pati ang kanilang mga pinuno ay hindi na malaman ang gagawin kapag nakita nila ang bandila ng kanilang mga kaaway. Iyan ang sinabi ng Panginoon, na ang kanyang apoy ay nagniningas sa Zion, ang lungsod ng Jerusalem.[b]

New International Version
8 “Assyria(A) will fall by no human sword;
a sword, not of mortals, will devour(B) them.
They will flee before the sword
and their young men will be put to forced labor.(C)
9 Their stronghold(D) will fall because of terror;
at the sight of the battle standard(E) their commanders will panic,(F)”
declares the Lord,
whose fire(G) is in Zion,
whose furnace(H) is in Jerusalem.

8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.
9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
