30 Sa aba ng mga mapanghimagsik na mga anak, sabi ng Panginoon, na nagsisisangguni, nguni't hindi sa akin; at nangagaalay ng alay, nguni't hindi sa aking Espiritu, upang makapagdagdag ng kasalanan sa kasalanan:
2 Ang nagsisilakad na nagsisilusong sa Egipto, at hindi nangagtanong sa aking bibig; upang mangagpakalakas sa lakas ni Faraon, at magsitiwala sa lilim ng Egipto!
3 Kaya't ang lakas ni Faraon ay magiging inyong kahihiyan, at ang pagtiwala sa lilim ng Egipto ay inyong pagkalito.
4 Sapagka't ang kaniyang mga pangulo ay nangasa Zoan, at ang kanilang mga sugo ay nagsidating sa Hanes.
5 Silang lahat ay mangapapahiya dahil sa bayan na hindi nila mapapakinabangan, na hindi tulong o pakinabang man, kundi kahihiyan, at kakutyaan din naman.
6 Ang hula tungkol sa mga hayop ng Timugan. Sa lupain ng kabagabagan at ng kahapisan, na pinanggagalingan ng leong babae at lalake, ng ulupong at ng lumilipad na makamandag na ahas, kanilang dinadala ang kanilang mga kayamanan sa mga gulugod ng mga batang asno, at ang kanilang mga kayamanan sa umbok ng gulugod ng mga kamelyo, sa isang bayan na hindi nila mapapakinabangan.
7 Sapagka't ang Egipto ay tumulong na walang kabuluhan, at walang kapararakan: kaya't aking tinawag siyang Rahab na nauupong walang kibo.
8 Ngayo'y yumaon ka, isulat mo sa harap nila sa isang tapyas na bato, at ititik mo sa isang aklat upang manatili sa panahong darating na walang hanggan.
9 Sapagka't mapanghimagsik na bayan, mga sinungaling na anak, mga anak na hindi didinig ng kautusan ng Panginoon:
10 Na nagsasabi sa mga tagakita, Huwag kayong kumita; at sa mga propeta, Huwag kayong manghula sa amin ng mga matuwid na bagay, magsalita kayo sa amin ng mga malubay na bagay, manghula kayo ng mga magdarayang bagay:
11 Humiwalay kayo sa daan, lumihis kayo sa landas, papaglikatin ninyo ang Banal ng Israel sa harap namin.
12 Kaya't ganito ang sabi ng Banal ng Israel, Sapagka't inyong hinamak ang salitang ito, at nagsitiwala kayo sa kapighatian at kasuwailan, at yaon ay inyong inaasahan:
13 Kaya't ang kasamaang ito ay magiging sa inyo'y gaya ng batong sira na madaling mababagsak, na natatanggal sa isang matayog na pader, na biglang dumarating ang pagkasira sa isang sangdali.
14 At yao'y kaniyang babasagin na gaya ng pagbasag ng palyok ng magpapalyok, na nababasag na putolputol na walang matitira; na anopat walang masusumpungan na kapiraso sa mga putol niyaon, na maikukuha ng apoy mula sa apuyan, o maikakadlo ng tubig sa balon.
15 Sapagka't ganito ang sabi ng Panginoong Dios, ng Banal ng Israel, Sa pagbabalik at sa pagpapahinga ay matitiwasay kayo; sa katahimikan at sa pagasa ay magiging ang inyong lakas. At hindi ninyo inibig.
16 Kundi inyong sinabi, Hindi, sapagka't kami ay magsisitakas na mangangabayo: kaya kayo'y magsisitakas: at, Kami ay magsisisakay sa mga maliksi; kaya't silang magsisihabol sa inyo ay maliliksi.
17 Isang libo ay tatakas sa saway ng isa; sa saway ng lima ay tatakas kayo: hanggang sa kayo'y maiwang parang isang palatandaan sa taluktok ng bundok, at gaya ng isang watawat sa isang burol.
18 At dahil dito maghihintay ang Panginoon, upang siya'y maging mapagbiyaya sa inyo, at kaya't mabubunyi siya, na siya'y magdadalang habag sa inyo: sapagka't ang Panginoon ay Dios ng kahatulan; mapapalad yaong lahat na nangaghihintay sa kaniya.
19 Sapagka't ang bayan ay tatahan sa Sion sa Jerusalem: ikaw ay hindi na iiyak pa; siya'y tunay na magiging mapagbiyaya sa iyo sa tinig ng iyong daing; pagka kaniyang maririnig, sasagutin ka niya.
20 At bagaman bigyan kayo ng Panginoon ng tinapay ng kasakunaan at ng tubig ng kadalamhatian, gayon may hindi na makukubli pa ang iyong mga tagapagturo, kundi makikita ng iyong mga mata ang iyong mga tagapagturo:
21 At ang iyong mga pakinig ay makakarinig ng salita sa likuran mo, na nagsasabi, Ito ang daan, lakaran ninyo; pagka kayo'y pumipihit sa kanan, at pagka kayo'y pumipihit sa kaliwa.
22 At inyong lalapastanganin ang mga panakip ng inyong mga larawang pilak na inanyuan at ang pangbalot sa inyong mga larawang ginto na binubo: iyong ipaghahagis na gaya ng maruming bagay: iyong sasabihin, Humayo ka.
23 At Siya ay magbibigay ng ulan sa iyong binhi, na iyong hahasikan ang lupa; at ng pagkaing bunga ng lupa, at magiging mataba at sagana. Sa araw na yaon ay manginginain ang iyong mga hayop sa mga malaking pastulan.
24 Ang mga baka at gayon din ang mga guyang asno na bumubukid ng lupa ay magsisikain ng may lasang pagkain, na pinahanginan ng pala at hunkoy.
25 At magkakaroon ng mga ilog at mga balon ng tubig sa lahat na mataas na bundok, at sa lahat na matayog na burol, sa araw ng malaking patayan, pagka ang mga moog ay nabubuwal.
26 Bukod dito'y ang liwanag ng buwan ay magiging gaya ng liwanag ng araw, at ang liwanag ng araw ay magpipito, na gaya ng liwanag ng pitong araw, sa araw na talian ng Panginoon ang sugat ng kaniyang bayan, at pagalingin ang bugbog na kanilang sugat.
27 Narito, ang pangalan ng Panginoon ay magmumula sa malayo, na nagniningas ng kaniyang galit, at nasa umiilanglang na salimuot na usok: ang kaniyang mga labi ay puno ng pagkagalit, at ang kaniyang dila ay gaya ng mamumugnaw na apoy:
28 At ang kaniyang hinga ay gaya ng umaapaw na ilog, na umaabot hanggang sa leeg, upang igigin ang mga bansa ng pangigig na pangsira; at isang paningkaw na nakapagpapaligaw ay malalagay sa mga panga ng mga bayan.
29 Kayo'y mangagkakaroon ng awit na gaya ng sa gabi pagka ang banal na kapistahan ay ipinagdidiwang; at kasayahan ng puso, na gaya ng yumayaon na may plauta upang masok sa bundok ng Panginoon, sa malaking Bato ng Israel.
30 At iparirinig ng Panginoon ang kaniyang maluwalhating tinig, at ipakikilala ang pagbabaka ng kaniyang bisig, na may pagkagalit ng kaniyang galit, at ng liyab ng mamumugnaw na apoy, na may bugso ng ulan, at bagyo, at granizo,
31 Sapagka't sa pamamagitan ng tinig ng Panginoon ay mangagkakawatakwatak ang taga Asiria, na nananakit ng pamalo.
32 At bawa't hampas ng takdang tungkod, na ibabagsak ng Panginoon sa kaniya, mangyayaring may mga pandereta at may mga alpa; at sa mga pakikipagbakang may pagkayanig ay makikipaglaban siya sa kanila,
33 Sapagka't ang Topheth ay handa nang malaon; oo, sa ganang hari ay inihanda; kaniyang pinalalim at pinalaki: ang bunton niyaon ay apoy at maraming kahoy: ang hinga ng Panginoon na gaya ng bugso ng azufre, ay nagpapaningas ng apoy.

A inútil aliança entre Judá e o Egito
30 “Que aflição espera meus filhos rebeldes!”,
diz o Senhor.
“Vocês fazem planos contrários aos meus,
acordos não dirigidos por mim;
com isso, amontoam pecado sobre pecado.
2 Pois, sem me consultar,
desceram ao Egito em busca de ajuda.
Puseram sua confiança na proteção do faraó;
tentaram esconder-se na sombra dele.
3 Mas, ao confiar no faraó, serão envergonhados;
ao esconder-se nele, serão humilhados.
4 Pois, embora o poder dele se estenda até Zoã,
e seus embaixadores tenham chegado a Hanes,
5 todos que confiam nele serão envergonhados;
ele de nada os ajudará,
mas sim lhes trará humilhação e desonra.”
6 Recebi esta mensagem acerca dos animais do Neguebe:
As caravanas se movem lentamente pelo terrível deserto,
lugar de leoas e leões,
de serpentes e cobras venenosas.
Seguem em direção ao Egito,
com jumentos carregados de riquezas,
camelos levando muitos tesouros,
pagamentos em troca de proteção.
O Egito nada dará como retribuição;
7 as promessas do Egito não têm valor algum!
Por isso eu o chamo de Raabe,
o Dragão Inofensivo.[a]
Advertência para o povo rebelde de Judá
8 Agora vá e escreva estas palavras;
registre-as num livro.
Elas permanecerão até o fim dos tempos
como testemunha
9 de que esse povo é rebelde e teimoso
e se recusa a ouvir a lei do Senhor.
10 Dizem aos videntes:
“Não tenham mais visões!”,
e aos profetas:
“Não nos digam o que é certo.
Falem de coisas agradáveis,
contem-nos mentiras.
11 Esqueçam a verdade,
saiam do caminho estreito.
Parem de nos falar
do Santo de Israel”.
12 Esta é a resposta do Santo de Israel:
“Porque desprezam o que lhes digo
e preferem confiar em opressão e mentiras,
13 a calamidade virá sobre vocês de repente,
como um muro inclinado que se rompe e desmorona.
Num instante desabará
e cairá por terra.
14 Serão despedaçados como vasilha de barro,
esmigalhados tão completamente
que não sobrará um caco grande o suficiente
para tirar brasas da lareira
ou um pouco de água do poço”.
15 Assim diz o Senhor Soberano,
o Santo de Israel:
“Vocês só serão salvos
se voltarem para mim e em mim descansarem.
Na tranquilidade e na confiança está sua força,
mas vocês não quiseram saber.
16 Disseram: ‘Nada disso! Entraremos na batalha,
montados em cavalos velozes’.
A única velocidade que verão, porém,
será a de seus inimigos os perseguindo!
17 Cada um deles perseguirá mil de vocês;
cinco deles farão todos vocês fugirem.
Serão deixados como mastro solitário numa colina,
como bandeira no alto de um monte distante”.
Bênçãos para o povo do Senhor
18 Portanto, o Senhor esperará até que voltem para ele,
para lhes mostrar seu amor e compaixão.
Pois o Senhor é Deus fiel;
felizes os que nele esperam.
19 Ó povo de Sião, que mora em Jerusalém,
você não chorará mais!
Ele será bondoso quando lhe pedirem ajuda;
certamente atenderá a seus clamores.
20 Embora o Senhor lhes tenha dado angústia como alimento
e aflição como bebida,
ele permanecerá com vocês para lhes ensinar.
Vocês verão seu mestre com os próprios olhos,
21 e seus ouvidos o ouvirão.
Uma voz atrás de vocês dirá:
“Este é o caminho pelo qual devem andar”,
quer se voltem para a direita, quer para a esquerda.
22 Então vocês destruirão todos os seus ídolos de prata
e suas valiosas imagens de ouro.
Jogarão tudo fora como se fossem trapos imundos
e dirão: “Já vai tarde!”.
23 Então o Senhor os abençoará com chuva na época de plantar. Terão colheitas fartas e muita pastagem para seus animais. 24 Os bois e os jumentos que lavram a terra comerão cereais de boa qualidade, e o vento levará a palha. 25 No dia em que seus inimigos forem massacrados e as torres caírem, haverá riachos correndo em todos os montes e colinas. 26 A lua será tão brilhante quanto o sol, e o sol será sete vezes mais claro, como a luz de sete dias em um só! Assim será quando o Senhor começar a sarar seu povo e a curar as feridas que lhe causou.
27 Vejam, o Senhor vem de longe,
ardendo de ira,
cercado de densas nuvens de fumaça!
Seus lábios estão cheios de fúria,
suas palavras consomem como fogo.
28 Seu sopro é como inundação
que sobe até o pescoço de seus inimigos.
Com sua peneira, separará as nações para a destruição;
colocará nelas um freio e as levará à ruína.
29 Mas vocês entoarão um cântico de alegria,
como os cânticos das festas sagradas.
Vocês se alegrarão,
como quando o flautista conduz um grupo de peregrinos
a Jerusalém, o monte do Senhor,
a Rocha de Israel.
30 O Senhor fará ouvir sua voz majestosa
e mostrará a força de seu braço poderoso.
Em sua ira, descerá com chamas devoradoras,
chuvas torrenciais, tempestades e pedras de granizo.
31 Por ordem do Senhor, os assírios serão despedaçados;
ele os ferirá mortalmente com seu cetro.
32 Quando o Senhor os ferir com sua vara de castigo,[b]
seu povo celebrará com tamborins e harpas.
Ele levantará seu braço poderoso
e lutará contra seus inimigos.
33 Tofete, o lugar de fogo, há muito está pronto para o rei assírio;
um monte de lenha aguarda sobre a fogueira.
O sopro do Senhor, como fogo de um vulcão,
a acenderá.

Woe to the Obstinate Nation
30 “Woe(A) to the obstinate children,”(B)
declares the Lord,
“to those who carry out plans that are not mine,
forming an alliance,(C) but not by my Spirit,
heaping sin upon sin;
2 who go down to Egypt(D)
without consulting(E) me;
who look for help to Pharaoh’s protection,(F)
to Egypt’s shade for refuge.(G)
3 But Pharaoh’s protection will be to your shame,
Egypt’s shade(H) will bring you disgrace.(I)
4 Though they have officials in Zoan(J)
and their envoys have arrived in Hanes,
5 everyone will be put to shame
because of a people(K) useless(L) to them,
who bring neither help(M) nor advantage,
but only shame and disgrace.(N)”
6 A prophecy(O) concerning the animals of the Negev:(P)
Through a land of hardship and distress,(Q)
of lions(R) and lionesses,
of adders and darting snakes,(S)
the envoys carry their riches on donkeys’(T) backs,
their treasures(U) on the humps of camels,
to that unprofitable nation,
7 to Egypt, whose help is utterly useless.(V)
Therefore I call her
Rahab(W) the Do-Nothing.
8 Go now, write it on a tablet(X) for them,
inscribe it on a scroll,(Y)
that for the days to come
it may be an everlasting witness.(Z)
9 For these are rebellious(AA) people, deceitful(AB) children,
children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction.(AC)
10 They say to the seers,(AD)
“See no more visions(AE)!”
and to the prophets,
“Give us no more visions of what is right!
Tell us pleasant things,(AF)
prophesy illusions.(AG)
11 Leave this way,(AH)
get off this path,
and stop confronting(AI) us
with the Holy One(AJ) of Israel!”
12 Therefore this is what the Holy One(AK) of Israel says:
“Because you have rejected this message,(AL)
relied on oppression(AM)
and depended on deceit,
13 this sin will become for you
like a high wall,(AN) cracked and bulging,
that collapses(AO) suddenly,(AP) in an instant.
14 It will break in pieces like pottery,(AQ)
shattered so mercilessly
that among its pieces not a fragment will be found
for taking coals from a hearth
or scooping water out of a cistern.”
15 This is what the Sovereign(AR) Lord, the Holy One(AS) of Israel, says:
“In repentance and rest(AT) is your salvation,
in quietness and trust(AU) is your strength,
but you would have none of it.(AV)
16 You said, ‘No, we will flee(AW) on horses.’(AX)
Therefore you will flee!
You said, ‘We will ride off on swift horses.’
Therefore your pursuers will be swift!
17 A thousand will flee
at the threat of one;
at the threat of five(AY)
you will all flee(AZ) away,
till you are left(BA)
like a flagstaff on a mountaintop,
like a banner(BB) on a hill.”
18 Yet the Lord longs(BC) to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.(BD)
For the Lord is a God of justice.(BE)
Blessed are all who wait for him!(BF)
19 People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more.(BG) How gracious he will be when you cry for help!(BH) As soon as he hears, he will answer(BI) you. 20 Although the Lord gives you the bread(BJ) of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers(BK) will be hidden(BL) no more; with your own eyes you will see them. 21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice(BM) behind you, saying, “This is the way;(BN) walk in it.” 22 Then you will desecrate your idols(BO) overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold;(BP) you will throw them away like a menstrual(BQ) cloth and say to them, “Away with you!(BR)”
23 He will also send you rain(BS) for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich(BT) and plentiful.(BU) In that day(BV) your cattle will graze in broad meadows.(BW) 24 The oxen(BX) and donkeys that work the soil will eat fodder(BY) and mash, spread out with fork(BZ) and shovel. 25 In the day of great slaughter,(CA) when the towers(CB) fall, streams of water will flow(CC) on every high mountain and every lofty hill. 26 The moon will shine like the sun,(CD) and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the Lord binds up the bruises of his people and heals(CE) the wounds he inflicted.
27 See, the Name(CF) of the Lord comes from afar,
with burning anger(CG) and dense clouds of smoke;
his lips are full of wrath,(CH)
and his tongue is a consuming fire.(CI)
28 His breath(CJ) is like a rushing torrent,(CK)
rising up to the neck.(CL)
He shakes the nations in the sieve(CM) of destruction;
he places in the jaws of the peoples
a bit(CN) that leads them astray.
29 And you will sing
as on the night you celebrate a holy festival;(CO)
your hearts will rejoice(CP)
as when people playing pipes(CQ) go up
to the mountain(CR) of the Lord,
to the Rock(CS) of Israel.
30 The Lord will cause people to hear his majestic voice(CT)
and will make them see his arm(CU) coming down
with raging anger(CV) and consuming fire,(CW)
with cloudburst, thunderstorm(CX) and hail.(CY)
31 The voice of the Lord will shatter Assyria;(CZ)
with his rod he will strike(DA) them down.
32 Every stroke the Lord lays on them
with his punishing club(DB)
will be to the music of timbrels(DC) and harps,
as he fights them in battle with the blows of his arm.(DD)
33 Topheth(DE) has long been prepared;
it has been made ready for the king.
Its fire pit has been made deep and wide,
with an abundance of fire and wood;
the breath(DF) of the Lord,
like a stream of burning sulfur,(DG)
sets it ablaze.(DH)
