3 Sa kanilang mga lansangan ay nagbibigkis sila ng damit-sako,
sa mga bubungan at sa mga liwasan,
tumatangis ang bawat isa at natutunaw sa pag-iyak.
4 Ang Hesbon at ang Eleale ay sumisigaw,
ang kanilang tinig ay naririnig hanggang sa Jahaz.
Kaya't ang mga lalaking may sandata sa Moab ay sumigaw nang malakas;
ang kanyang kaluluwa ay nanginginig.
5 Ang aking puso ay dumadaing para sa Moab;
ang kanyang mga tao ay nagsisitakas sa Zoar,
sa Eglat-shelishiya.
Sapagkat sa ahunan sa Luhith
ay umaahon silang nag-iiyakan;
sa daan patungong Horonaim
ay humahagulhol sila sa kapahamakan.

3 In their streets they will clothe themselves with sackcloth;
On the tops of their houses
And in their streets
Everyone will wail, (A)weeping bitterly.
4 Heshbon and Elealeh will cry out,
Their voice shall be heard as far as (B)Jahaz;
Therefore the [a]armed soldiers of Moab will cry out;
His life will be burdensome to him.
5 “My(C) heart will cry out for Moab;
His fugitives shall flee to Zoar,
Like [b]a three-year-old heifer.
For (D)by the Ascent of Luhith
They will go up with weeping;
For in the way of Horonaim
They will raise up a cry of destruction,
