Isaiah 8:8-10

8 and it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass on, (A)reaching even to the neck, and its (B)outspread wings will fill the breadth of your land, (C)O Immanuel.”
9 Be broken,[a] you peoples, and (D)be shattered;[b]
give ear, all you far countries;
strap on your armor and be shattered;
strap on your armor and be shattered.
10 Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing;
speak a word, (E)but it will not stand,
for God (F)is with us.[c]

8 And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.
9 Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.
10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.
